AP Accountant in Qatar.

Location: Qatar

Position: AP Accountant

Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Commerce OR Master’s Degree Advantageous

Ideal Industry background: Oil & Gas, Heavy Manufacturing/ Corporates

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in similar role

Accounts Payable Operational Activities: 1.Process and review invoices of supplier and ensure 3 way matching and contractual conditions are met.

2.Supplier Relation Management: Assist in resolving all the issues relating and to supplier and ensure that accounts are properly reconciled.

3.Period Closing and Reporting: Support in review, reconciliation and scrutinize the correctness of the AP subledger vs the general ledger. Assist in preparing financial reports and schedules for AP.

4.Liaison with Auditors: Support in providing audit requirements relating to AP.

5.Compliance and Regulations: Carry out strictly compliance of AP activities to company policy, procedure, financial authority matrix, tax laws and other statutory requirements.

6.Internal Controls and Process Improvement: Support in maintaining proper internal control of the AP operation. Assist in developing and strategizing improvement in the operations of AP.

Job-Specific Skills

1.Excellent knowledge in Oracle E-Business Suite & Microsoft Office with strong and demonstrated experience

2.Advanced customer service orientation

3.Ability to work in a team environment and sometimes independently with minimal supervision as the task may be from time to time

4.Strong conflict management, facilitation and resolution skills

5.Excellent use of the English (must) and Arabic language (preferred)

6.Excellent relationship building skills

7.Extensive skill handling personnel from a multi-cultural work environment

8.Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
